GENERAL

The Google Earth images above are to show the proximity of the house to different locations not only in the city itself but its proximity to other major metropolitan cities in Texas. My location, Waco, Texas, is located roughly 90 miles south of Dallas and 90 miles north of Austin. It is extremely centrally located in the Heart of Texas which makes is a fairly desirable place to live. Waco has various attractions such as Baylor University, Cameron Park, the Brazos and Bosque Rivers, and even a National Mammoth Site. There is truly more than meets the eye when it comes to this small city.

SOCIAL MEDIA

In the past few years, Waco has truly "stepped-up" on their PR skills. They use all sorts of different social media platforms to let locals know of places to eat, events, weather, and more. With the stars of "Fixer Upper" giving Waco a new-found "reputable reputation", Waco is one of the main stops on a vacationer's journery through Texas. Therefore, these social media accounts are vital for visitors to know what else there is to do in the city.

FACEBOOK

Facebook is the main form of social media that our town uses to inform people. Just by clicking on their page, it links you to various restaurants and parks around the city. It even tells you when someone checks into an area near you!

WACOAN

Waco also has a great local magazine that gives individuals a great amount of information of happenings throughout the month. It goes into great detail about shopping, doctors offices, and large events such as Cattle Baron's Ball and Cotton Palace. There's also a section called "The Best of Waco" where they select different businesses and doctor's that have gained a good reputation.
